First Ride of the Season!!!
Yea!! I made it out for my first ride of the season. Only 12 miles but I did it! Hoping to ride either Tuesday or Wednesday night from Lincoln park at 6. I'll be riding at the Post baby or haven't been on the bike in a year pace. If enough people show there will be another faster group to ride with. Will keep you posted re: ride. Lynn

Lance Armstrong out of Giro contention, but old fire is returning - Austin Murphy - SI.com:
"...when he isn't fetching bottles for his mates, Lance Armstrong is beginning to show flashes of his old, predatory form. While he's won no Giro stages and is still not yet his former self, he's getting close enough to be making people nervous -- including, I am guessing, his Astana teammate Alberto Contador."

"Every cyclist can be a chemist. And a dangerously accidental one at that. Even if you flunked high school chemistry.
Did you ever have that time when you threw a water bottle into the kitchen sink, without emptying that tad bit of fancy powdered drink you made eons ago?"
New Trails through Bob's Woods (SBU)
BonaResponds has build some new trails to the South and West of Campus. Not super far but when you add them to the trails through Bob's Woods BonaResponds helped make last year and the trail system is pretty nice!

Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees
Part Behavioral finance, part cycling, and part a study in how the brain works, the following "Test" is eye opening at least.
We all get so caught up in seeing what we want to see that we sometimes miss the obvious. This effects us in many ways: In finance, if bullish (optimistic), we are more apt to see the good news, if bearish (pessimistic) you see only bad news.
That is one reason why big break throughs happen from those outside the field. It is one reason why sabbaticals and vacations are important. But it can also have important implications in many other ways.
Go ahead, take the test. It takes about a minute.

thanks to the Tour of the Gila for pointing this one out.
